Day 11 - San Antonio

San Antonio
Rowena said that it was a bloody hot today

We took a stroll down the River walk – beautiful, hot - very surprising to find such a beautiful river and banks in the middle of the city

We decided to take the River taxi, it was too hot to walk so we got the boat, met people from Atlanta who advised us to go to Sedona, which is the name of our car so was easy for us to remember

Lunch was eaten in a cafe that was cheap, don’t remember what the cafe was called

After this we wondered around the Alamo, using the audio tours, it was hot

Bus tour, the last one of the day, is what we did next, where we saw the missions in the area, tower of Americas, Texan institute of cultures, house that belonged to someone, the king Williams area with all the posh houses

Then back to the hotel to swim and cool of before showering and heading out to dinner. Luke sunbathed topless

Dinner was in the barbecue place, county line barbecue

Jamie ate a cow

Beverly ate a salmon

Rowena and Charis had half a pig each

Luke had the biggest jacket potatoe in the world ever, the size of a coconut, with chicken kabob

and Kishan OD-ed on vegetables

The beer drinkers tried the local beer which was the lone star, Beverley had white zinfandel and Kishan had a vanilla shake

It was nice to not to stay in the ghetto and nice to have a dose of history

Quoke of the day
Jamie offered a hand covered in Barbie sauce and said to Beverley “nice to meet you nice” and she replied “don't you mean nice to MEAT you”. It expanded the next day. Stomach, babies, baby seat, squeeze it in the middle, cant go around squeezing babies in the middle you can get arrested for that

Oh my stomach--from laughing so much
