After breakfasts were gathered from various places, we left around 10:30am. The traffic wasn’t as bad as we expected, it continued moving but was busy. We detoured via Rowena’s old work place’s LA office in downtown, so we drove into the city centre, passing Walk Disney’s concert hall. For the first time, Charis didn’t give us an unintentional tour of the city. We parked up and went to find food, ending up in a food court in Macy’s Plaza. Luke went solo to Rodeo Drive, and spent money....
After food and a book purchase later, we headed on to find the hotel. Coming off the freeway and onto Hollywood Blvd, we caught a glimpse of the Hollywood Sign. Checked in, and then went for walk to go get a picture of the sign, hard to do due to all the wires as residential area. After our walk, went and relaxed by the pool...Beverley read her new book, Jamie listened to music, Kishan, Ro and Charis swam and then read books.
Waited for Luke to return from his shopping spree, and then went to explore ‘Thai town’, settling for a yummy Thai dinner just a few minutes up the road, complete with deep fried ice cream for pudding.
