After breakfast was eaten and bags were packed, headed out of Las Vegas at 11am. Uneventful drive really. Beverley had another encounter with border control as we entered into California. Stopped for lunch at Carl’s Jnrs after eventually making it off a busy highway. Beverley and Charis sampled the Teriyaki burger...basically a burger with sauce and a pineapple, it was tasty. Charis as always gave us an unintended tour of San Diego upon entry by being in a lane that turned into an exit only lane.
After arriving and finding only one reservation instead of two...when in fact for that hotel we needed 3 rooms...we eventually got to the rooms. We walked down to the Gaslamp Quarter for dinner. Lots of restaurants on the street, we were drawn into one with the offer of two free desserts. We had an Italian meal in the restaurant called Asti Ristorante, the two free desserts were Tiramisu. Beverley had a Canolli and Rowena had a Chocolate Cake with melting middle. Then back to the hotel to sleep.
